Doug, I love this peek at the past. I have the 1934 Minutes of the Primitive Baptist Association meeting from my grandfather’s era at Pilgrim’s Home Primitive Baptist Church in Dodge County, GA. When I read about the squabbles, shunnings, etc., I’m not surprised that we have global issues. The people who attended these churches certainly grew up in harsh times, an age-old story across all border. Thank you.
Honestly, these could be from Pearson, GA circa 1979. Prmitives can be a bit harsh. You could feel the breeze of tongues wagging when I popped my cherry a** out of the closet. So fun!
Oh Bobby, you have a way with words 😉
Doug this was great, I really enjoyed the directness of sentencing the wrong doers.
Tough love or just self-righteous condemnations from judgmental sanctimonious brethren?
Great photos….
Thank you.
