southern humorA landmark in Georgia history, Midway Congregational Church in Liberty County was established in 1752. The original building was burned by the British during the American Revolution. This building was erected in 1792. It is much the same today as it was 222 years ago. Lyman Hall, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a collateral ancestor of your worthy scribe, was a member of Midway Church.
